Absences on Permanent Resident application

I could nit find the answer on the forum
I have lived in UK since 2006. PR application requires absences from the date of entry - which I don't remember exactly. The guidance talks about covering 5 years. Can I put my last 5-6 years on the application or do I need to be exact since the day of entry? I hold residence certificate? Does it changes anything? Thanks a lot for any help.
