Hi hope you are doing well.
I am a polish national came to UK on April 2011 since then I lived in UK and exercised my treaty rights by working.

But I had couple of gaps between my employment as below :
1. 10/10/2011 till 04/04/2012 ..5 Months 24 days[/b].
2. 15/06/2013 till 18/08/2013 .. 2 Months 3 days.
3. 05/05/2015 till 05/08/2015.. 3 Months.

In these times I was unemployed but didn't registered as Job seeker as I was self sufficient and was looking for Job by door to door so no refusal letter nor Appointment letter.

I didn't claim any kind of benefit I was supporting myself with my savings.

Please, advice are these gaps which are less then 6 months will be an issue for applying Permanent Residence ?

My apology in advance if this topic has been discussed previously cause I didn't find any link,

I would be very great full if someone shed some light on 'Employment Gap' regulations for permanent residence on 5 years route.
Many Thanks

You still need to have been a qualified person.

That could include being a jobseeker - for which evidence of jobseeking is required.
Or as a self-sufficient person, that is with evidence of a CSI policy (health insurance) in place; (also no reliance on benefits).

I am not sure but I heard that you can be accepted as exercising treaty rights if you are unemployed for upto six months and can prove you were looking for a job. For that you dont need to be registered as job seeker during that time.
I maybe totally wrong but wanted to share something I heard and maybe help.

Wonder where you heard that?

You need rock solid evidence of being a qualified person who is a jobseeker.
And a major component of that can be achieved by registering as a jobseeker.

HO cw will obviously be looking for that; if its not there they are likely to scrutinise the remaining evidence with an even finer toothcomb.
One or two emails from jobsites won't cut it.

This HO guidance will give an idea what a caseworker will be looking for in an application from a jobseeker (etc):

hi GoEu,

Sorry for re-opening the topic. I was just wondering what was the outcome of your application?
I'm Romanian, worked 4 years with no gaps as a contractor, but I plan to take 2-3 months off. I was just wondering whether that increases my risk to jeopardize the permanent residency application early next year.

have a nice evening!
