EEA family application

Hi everyone
Let me start by saying thank you to the people who took their time to post so much valuable information on this forum, I think is amazing!
Me and my husband both are EEA citizen and want to apply for PR card in order to obtain british citizenship next year. We have two small kids that will be included in the application.
I started to read about the process a while ago and I was shocked by how complicated it is. I assumed that it will be quite straightforward and easy, but then I can't remember what was ever straightforward and easy for EU members in UK.
I've been reading the forum here for a while and the cloud lifted a bit now and feel I am almost there. I still have some questions and I am sure they've been answered somewhere here but I couldn't find them ( sorry, new born fog and all).
SO here it goes.
1.Do I include me and my husband on the same application? I got conflicting information about this, as a solicitor that I called said yes and my husband will be the sponsor, but when I called the HMRC immgration number they said two separate applications.
2. If I include all of us on the same application is he the main applicant as I understand there is no need for a sponsor if both of us are EU citizens.
3. I always had a part time job in England, but was a student as well, do I need CSI (I don't have one). Again lady from immigration information said if I worked it should be fine without CSI.
4. My husband worked continuously as a self employed person. He has one payslip for EVERY WEEK of this 5 years. Do I send them all? This would make 250 payslips
5. ALL statements for both of us? again 120 sheets of paper
6. ARRRHHHHH!!!
Thank you very much good folks for helping a tired mum of two kiddies. Can't wait for it to be send as I feel my house will be buried in papers and statements and bills soon
