EEA PR Appeal Timeframe

Hi all,

As an EEA national, I've applied for a document certifying permanent residence. My application got refused on the basis that I didn't provide evidence of comprehensive sickness insurance whilst being a student in the UK. I've appealed against the decision (without the hearing) and send the evidence of medical insurance from my country as a proof that in fact I had such insurance in place. It's been three months since I sent that off and I still heard nothing back.

Can anyone advise how long they take to process the appeals? Or what I can do to speed up the process in any way?

Not sure how long but can take a while. May be quicker to apply again if you have a spare £65 flying around somewhere :D

Hi gabbski, I think it depends on what part of the country you live in apparently. I've heard waiting times of over 9 months in the London area and lesser in the north of the uk. Personally based on the reason of refusal I wouldn't recommend reapplying as who knows what they'll come up with or not as it might well be granted.
As an eea national your movement/isn't restricted anyway so up to you really.
