Hi,

I've just been to the NCS with my naturalisation application and they said that everything is good except for my IELTS test. The test centre changed somehow. The test centre number on my test is _old_ now, and the test centre has a new number. That means I have to take the test again. The test centre is the one at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford. Old ID: 22107. New ID: GBS03. The NCS guy called them and they told him directly: "No, that's an old ID. It's no longer valid."

I have moved to London since taking the test, so I can take a Trinity College test now without travelling a great distance. But I'm confused: while the invalid IELTS is in listening, speaking, reading, writing, the Trinity one that I'm supposed to take is just in speaking and listening? I just don't follow the logic.

Cheers,

Yes. And unlike the IELTS, it only takes 10 minutes. Check it out: http://www.trinitycollege.com/site/?id=3220

Yes I took that one and the fee is something like £150..
B1 is acceptable as per https://www.gov.uk/english-language but I believe it must be from a Selt certified provider.

I think the life in UK certificate it's for life at the difference of the b1 even if the centre doesn't exist anymore. Not sure why they do that for one and not the other??

The Trinity College B1 English test is ridiculously easy and costs £150.

If you choose to use them make sure you book through their own site which is https://www.trinityselt.co.uk/

At least one member of this forum recently has made the mistake of using a third party booking agency and ended up paying £225.
