I am going against the flow, but whatever!

I am applying for a PR and want to submit an Irish passport card in support of the application (https://www.dfa.ie/passportcard/). I will need my traditional, paper-based passport for travel during the application time and don't want to risk loosing it. Would this be accepted in lieu of passport?

Cheers to steer me!

National ID cards are fine too, no need to send a passport.
