Return of Passport Non-EEA FM

Hi all,

I hope someone can clarify this.

My husband (non-EEA national) applied for his PR card on 15/03/16, as his family permit was expiring on 07/06/16. He requested for his passport to be returned on 02/06/16 via the request passport link, and then after 10 w days via the documents not returned link, still no passport.

Could this be due to the fact that his original family permit i not 'valid' anymore?

As many have reiterated here, the HO is not granting the PR, merely confirming it, so, if that is the case, can they do it?

Our case is quite straight forward:
I am EEA national exercising my rights in UK continuously since Feb 2011 (same employer 5 years) I have WRS covering 1 month that it was still 'needed' in 2011. We are married since Jan 2011 (marriage in UK), we sent all my P60, letter from employer, all payslips + bank statements, proof of cohabitation etc.

Thanks for your help!

Yes, it could be that.

Thank you!

In case this is true (they won't return passport because the 'original' residence has expired), would they actually let us know, as in, 'sorry, you can't get your passport back'. Or would it just be radio silence, and we must assume that that's what it is?

This not having any ID (or knowing when it will be returned) is just getting a bit difficult...
