Hi fellows, I received my PR as EU family member on 31/3/16 which is valid for 10 years, I am residing in UK since October 2009 as EU family member, my questions are:

1- Can i apply for Citizenship in October this year when my 6 years will complete in UK, or wait for 12 months till march 2017.

2- My marriage is coming to dead end  and might go for divorce, does this divorce effect in my path of obtaining citizenship.

Thanks in advance

PR is not valid for 10 years, it is permanent, as the name suggests. It is only the card which has a validity.

1) You need to find out the date that HO has deemed you to have acquired PR. Unfortunately this is not straight forward, and the easiest way at the moment seems to be by submitting an SAR. https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... mmigration

If you've used the period from October 2009 to October 2014 for your PR, and HO have correctly recorded October 2014 as your PR date, then you would be able to apply for citizenship from October 2015 onwards.

2) No effect at all.
