Hello everyone,
I'm applying for a document certifying permanent residence.
My husband and I are EEA nationals and we have been living in the UK for 9 years.
We have a 6 year old son and I'm making this application for all of us.
However, I'm not sure whether our son must be included in the application (I'd like to) and what kind of evidence I have to provide for him.
I'd like to apply by the end of July and hope I could get naturalization afterwards, so the relevant period for which I would provide evidence would be July 2010 -July 2015.
Could anyone please tell me whether I should include my son in the application for doc certifying permanent residence? And if that was the case, which sections of the form should I fill in whit his details?

Was your son born in the UK??

Yes, he was born in the UK.

He does not need to apply for PR. He is an entitlement to register as a British Citizen once either parent has PR.

I have another question about how many applications I should make in order to get doc certifying PR.
My husband and I are EEA nationals, we came here in the UK 9 years ago. After a few months from our arrival my husband found a job and I enrolled at University. He is the one who has always provided for me, which means I've always been dependant.
The application form distinguishes between the Applicant, the Sponsor, family members and extended family.
As far as I've understood the Sponsor and extended family members refer to non- EEA nationals (please, correct me if I'm wrong). My husband is the applicant so his details will go in section 1, where do I fit in? Do I have to apply using a second form (2 applications)? If this is the case what would I write in section 9.9 regarding financial resourcer? As I said he provided for me, I was a student then we had a child ...
Or, is it possible to make a joint application? If that's the case I can't see where my details would go....

You can apply jointly on same form.

Hubby is main applicant (section 1).

You are entered in part C, page 18 of current PR form.
And also in various other sections including section 11.

thank you for taking the time to answer my query.
You said that I should also fill in section 11, however this is a bit confusing because it says that this section is for spouse of sponsor (which is named in section 2, my husband is not a sponsor, he is the applicant (section 1) as a matter of fact I discarded section 2 all together )...
So could you please confirm the relevant section I should fill in as EEA national, spouse of the main applicant?
section 3- 3.2 - 5 - 9 -11 - 16 - 17 - 18 - 19

Yep, that form is a bit of a monster and poorly-designed to boot;
ofcourse in its defence it has to handle a whole bunch of different types of applicants in all sorts of scenarios.

I think you skip section 2; I still think you fill in section 11.
If you fill in an extra section that is not required the caseworker will simply ignore it.

Pro tip: Be aware the latest monster form is not a mandatory legal requirement.
If it's all too much to handle you could go commando and apply using an earlier (simpler) version of the form if you wish.

No, child does not 'inherit' your PR status.

A UK-born child is entitled to register as a citizen when at least one parent is settled - register under section 1(3) of BNA.
