Urgently require passports from EEA FP Application

Hi Everyone,

Firstly these forums have been a huge help, many thanks to everyone posting.

I need some advice on urgently needing passports back from home office. My application was received by HO on the 24th of June, and I haven't received any COA or correspondence at all yet.

I've had a really unlucky turn of events, and now I require our passports back as my wife has accepted a new job, and needs to show her right to work in the UK. We also need to move, and can't get a new apartment without our passports!

I have the link bookmarked to ask for documents back, but I haven't even received my COA yet, so have no idea what to do. Also I saw it can take months to receive documents back, I literally need them in 1-2 weeks max!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Jake.

What was her immigration/visa status in the UK before making the EEA application?

Hi,

She is an Australian & Italian citizen, so she is living and working here as an EU Citizen.

Thanks,

Can you not contact your embassy in London? Many nations can release an emergency identity document if for some reason you don't have an ID / passport available.

Thanks for the suggestion Salmintin,

I know in my case (NZ) any new document will render the other void, as NZ doesn't allow it's citizens to have 2x passports. Emergency travel documents seem to only be issued in the event of loss or theft.

Has anyone reading this ever successfully got their documents back in 10 days?

Yes the record is 4 days (Union citizen).
