Hi Everyone!

I had a question regarding EEA2 Residence card for non-EU family member.

We applied under Surinder Singh.

Application sent: 12/07/2016
Application fee deducted: 15/07/2016

1. Please can you tell me what is the next step.
Should they send a letter or email confirming they have recieved the application?
Or
Should we receive a letter to do the biometrics
Etc.

2. If I want to get our passports back. How long does it usually take for them to return it.

3. From the forum posts I have realized that the processing time for EEA applications are 5-6 month. Does anyone know if the surrinder singh applications are processed faster or if they are all the same.

1) Don't expect volumes of communication and updates.
Wait for bio letter.

2) The record here is 4 days (EEA national).

Your mileage may vary - it can take weeks and numerous follow ups.
In some cases, HO may decide not to return passport.

3) No rhyme or reason to it. No special treatment.

No. Few weeks maybe.
