Home Office Postal Address

Dear all,

I am going to apply for my wife EEA(FM) and EEA (QP) for myself.
In the forms, we need to send our application forms to:

Home Office – EEA applications
PO Box 590
Durham
DH99 1AD

However, when I wanted to buy postal services online from Royal Mail website, I entered the postcode "DH99 1AD" and surprisingly it was not recognised.

When I searched on google that post code, there is a website saying that the postcode is not active anymore (not sure how much this info is reliable though)/.

Is there someone who just recently send the form to that address and can confirm that it is the right one?

Thank you.

Its probably not a postcode for a physical location.

This is a non-geographic postcode, which has no assigned geographical coordinates and therefore no nearby postcodes.

Dear all,

I contacted Royal mail and received the following answer:

"I have checked the postcode of Dh99 1AD and it was deleted from our system on the 17/3/16. It was for a PO Box that is no longer use.

I would recommend that you contact the Home Office to see if they can supply you with an alternative address to which you can send your documentation to."

It is extremely worrying to me as I do not want to send all my original document to a wrong address.

Is there anyone having issues recently?

Thank you.

Hi there

I sent my application to that address on Friday via Special Delivery. It was delivered and signed for this morning with no issues.

Hope this gives you a bit of reassurance.
