Hi Board,

I am a EU national, and I have applied for ILTR/PR at the end of May this year. I've received confirmation email at the beginning of July with case ID from HO.
"Dear MR xyz,

Case ID: ABC

Thank you for your application to the Home Office. Your application has been received and is being considered.

It may take up to six months to make a decision on your case. If we are unable to process your application within six months we will tell you as soon as possible."


To my surprise, I have recently received another email with the same content. However the case ID has changed. I have not yet received any decision from HO.

Any thoughts ?

Which did you apply for? They are two different routes, ILTR is under the UK immigration route.

It's the EEA(PR) form. The one which, apparently - has to be obtained before you can apply for citizenship.

I know this post is from a year ago but I recently had the same experience with a citizenship application (one confirmation email and then after a short while a second one with a different case id!).

Did you ever get to the bottom of what the second email was about?
