2016: Affect of "minor" court conviction on EEA PR?

Dear all,

I am an EU national and have recently been convicted through the courts for "PC30 stopping a vehicle within pedestrian crossing limits" with fine + 3 points. It was late, I was in a hurry but, admittedly, I should have known better. The points will be removed from my license within 4 years.

My question is: I will be eligible to apply for PR after 2.5 years so how will this conviction affect the success/refusal of my application? I know that since 2011 the law has been changed a few times so I'm just wondering what the up-to-date ruling is regarding this matter?

Thank you for your time and have a nice day!

Kind regards,
Sammy.

There is no good character requirement on EU migration route unless you are an out and out threat to national security.
