My partner and I are both EU nationals who exercised treaty rights in the UK for the last 5 years.

We would like to make an application together however I am still confused by the 'Family Member' part. I am wondering which of the following two options would apply for us:

1. Do two different applications separately showing that we both exercised treaty rights for the last 5 years

2. Do one joint application where we would only prove that my partner exercised treaty rights and then for me just prove I was his unmarried partner for the last 5 years.

Obviously the second option would be a lot less paperwork, hence my question!

No one knows? I have read the documentation over and over but it only mentions non-EEA extended family member I am so confused

If you have the necessary good (if not unimpeachable) documentary supporting evidence either option may fly.

However, for unmarried dependent EFM, the dependent needs to have had an EFM RC.
No EFM RC, no DCPR as family member.

Even if EU citizens do not need EFM RC?

All dependent EFMs require a RC if they wish to apply for DCPR.

If a Union citizen is applying in own right as a qualified person then ofcourse a RC is optional.

Always good to look ahead to requirements before its time to apply in order to be sure ducks are in a row.

Among the list of ALL the documents I am going to send, I have lost one original so have no other choice than provide a scanned copy - I have contacted the authorities in my home country and they're unable to provide the original. The scanned copy has been translated and certified.

Will that document be automatically rejected by the case worker?
