Hi all,

Hope you can help us. My wife who is an EU national & I (non-EU national) applied for PR begining of November but due to personal reasons she has quit her job this week. She had been employed with this company for 2.5years. She is currently looking for another job. In the meantime are we better off getting comprehensive health insurance until she gets another job?
How will her quitting affect our pending application?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Notify HO of material change asap.

If caseworker calls employer and doesn't find wife acknowledged there you may face refusal.

Make sure they can identify your file in the system

this means u need to write a letter to them and inform them the change of circumstances and also make sure you put down the refrence number of your application. if i would be you then i might take a copy of that letter for personal record and keep the post office receipt as a proof of postage as well.

Thanks Ali. A bit of a coincidence but i drafted a letter earlier today advising HO of the change. Fortunately my wife started full-time work today so i will be sending it off tomorrow also attaching a print out of the email contract.
Basically my wife has only been out of work for 2 works and hopefully this will not affect our application.
