RC (Not-PR) Processing time please

Would anyone know the current ballpark timeframe of getting the Residence Card through from HO ***Not the PR one*** from the moment docs are sent off to HO for it please?
The Mrs is applying via QP status but her EU National ID card will be needed in a few months time for travel so we would like to have it back in our hands in good time for this.
