I'm a Polish citizen about to apply for permanent residency.

I've lived in the UK since 2006. In 2006 - 2008 (as soon as I arrived) I studied and worked at the same time, but did not have a private health insurance. I have been working ever since, so in theory I've obtained my 5-years threshold to apply, but I'm wondering if the fact that I did not have a private health insurance as a student nearly 10 years ago can affect my application?

Also, I had the WRS card (I was registered once, back in 2006, but did not stay with that employer for 12 months and when I moved to another job, I didn't re-apply, which means that on online application form I had to select "worked without permit" for the period since I arrived until the end of the scheme). I also don't have that WRS card, but I have an email from Home Office confirming I had one.

Can the lack of WRS card and private health insurance earlier than 5 years ago cause my application to be refused?

We're both EU citizens. My husband has been in employment ever since we arrived in the UK in 2006, up until May 2016 when he quit his job to re-train (not university, but training course). After his training ended, he then started working again from January 2017. When he was re-training he didn't have the comprehensive sickness insurance.

So our questions is: if he applies for permanent residency, will he be refused because of the lack of CSI? When he was in training, we lived out of our joint savings.

Your husband can use any 5 consequent years between 2006 and 2016 to qualify for Permanent residence. Just be aware of Worker Registration Scheme https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worker_Re ... ion_Scheme if he is from one of A8 countries. Otherwise you can include him in your application as dependant if you qualify for PR.

My husband wasn't registered in the Worker Registration Scheme, so his 5 years count from 31 April 2011. But he left his job to re-train on 15 April 2016, so is 2 weeks short of the continuous 5 years! Can the home office refuse him PR based on that?! Thank you.
