PR application for my aunt and uncle (help needed)

Hi everyone.
I'm lost and I bumped into this website hoping for some help.

I am half Polish and living In London. My mum was born in Poland but has obtained British Citizenship around 15 years ago.

Anyway... My uncle and aunt are Polish and have lived and worked in London for over 20 years. They are now worried and would like to apply for PR. They have been married for about 30 years.

My questions are as follows:

Do I add my mother as the sponsor? Or?

Is there a joint application they can complete? Or do they have to individually fill out a PR application each?

Is there any guidelines about the supporting documents? I know which documents to send, but how many? (I was told they want 3 documents per month?) Do the Home office want documents from the last 20 years, or last 5 years?

I am actually fortunate enough to work in a Register office where we provide the European passport check and send service. However I know not a thing about the application process. I only know how to photo copy passports.

Recommend you go to gov.uk under visa/immigration and work through the information for EU/EEA.
I am no expert with this but if they have lived that long in the UK, and have been qualified persons there's no need to sponsor. They could apply in their own right.
Also, I would check whether they had received any Home Office paperwork pre-2006 - which might indicate they have "leave to remain" already.
