Date of first entry to the UK

I am an Italian citizen.I am completing the application form for the PR card. I have been living in the UK without interruption since 2003, but have made my first entry to the Uk with the intention to live there in 1999, worked there until 2001 before moving to the US until my return in 2003. What date do I ahve to actually provide then for the 'date of first entry to the UK'? The one in 1999, the one in 2003 or marking a date about 6 years ago as I would like to have considered the last 5-6 years in the application (and providing documentation for this period).

You need to answer the question correctly - to my mind 2003 is the year/date per your time line.

hello,
I ahve the same problem- first entry to UK in 2007 for a year and then went back to Poland for 2, 5 years and come back to live and work permanently in 2010. I am also unsure what date to input. Can anyone help us with this question? thank you.

2010 is the year - you were out of the country for 2.5 years before then so this period wouldn't count anyway.
