Hi guys,

we are just wrapping-up my fiancees application for permanent residence. Unfortunately we are slightly concerned about her short break in employment in 2014. Essentially her history looks like that:

May 2011 - arrived to UK, London
June 2011 - started the work as permanent worker
late May 2014 - finished her work, went abroad for holidays for 2 weeks
mid June 2014 - came back, started to look for work but never been registered as job seeker - always used jobsites as reed or totaljobs or gumtree
early July 2014 - started new engagement
October 2015 - finished her 2nd permanent engagement and started new one straight away
October 2015 - started new role in her 3rd permanent job
****June 2016 - 5 years of qualifying period complete****

History after 5 years qualifying period:

September 2016 - finished off her last job in London, moved to Manchester
October 2016 - started to look for a job - got a nice job search history, not registered as job seeker
January 2017 until now- new engagement in Manchester

The questions are:

a) Will this month break in employment in 2014 be a problem? As stated above she was never registered as job seeker however she can provide few e-mails as a proof that she was looking for work (although it was not done straight away after she left her 1st job)

b) Should she supply the employment evidences for 5 years of qualifying period only or will she need to supply employment details for the period after that (June 2016) until now - as you can see above she had 3 months break when we moved up to Manchester (October 2016). Once again she was never registered but has got nice set of e-mails confirming interviews etc.

c) Or is point b not necessary and she needs to supply utility bills to confirm that she is in UK since June 2016 until now?

Thanks.

1 month should not be a problem.
My husband had 40 days break between jobs change and never registered within jobcentre. We sent copies of emails of job applications, interviews appointment and registration with recruitment agencies. All went smoothly.
He got his PR last November.

No, it should not be a problem. To qualify as jobseeker, EEA nationals can remain up to 3 months looking for a job, and they don't need to be registered at job centre. Just supply invitation to interviews and applications to jobs.
b) Should she supply the employment evidences for 5 years of qualifying period only or will she need to supply employment details for the period after that (June 2016) until now - as you can see above she had 3 months break when we moved up to Manchester (October 2016). The minimum she needs to supply is 5 continuous years as qualified person; this can be as a combination of worker and jobseeker. She can supply evidence for more time if she wishes, but that is not strictly necessary.
c) Or is point b not necessary and she needs to supply utility bills to confirm that she is in UK since June 2016 until now?
Thanks.
I'm actually not sure 100% about this one, but I believe it is enough to state in the online form that she has not left the UK since, and it will be fine (but someone please correct me if I'm wrong).

Thanks for your advice.

Any recommendation how many interviews confirmations/applications should she provide?

I think that is a very subjective measure that depends a lot of the type of job, and what amount of searching and interviewing is reasonable for her professional profile have high chances of getting a job. As an strictly off-the record opinion, unless you have a massive amount of interviews and job applications, I would just submit everything.
