Hey there, I have googled it and looked around but I couldn't find any questions relating to this.
It's more of a speculative question.
Applied for PR as a non EEA national. Requested my passport on 05/04/2017 and received it on 12/05/2017.
Can I interpret this quick return and the fact that they are not holding my passport for any reason as a good sign?
Is it likely that they will request it to be sent back?

No indication either way. The HO attempt to return the passport within 10 days, so you received yours only 3 days early.

No one can confirm whether you will be asked to re-submit your passport.

Thought it was 10 working days. It was posted to me on the 10/04.

The returned passport/s normally came with a letter, So what does the accompany letter says?

I haven't got it with me right now but it is a standard letter saying that if I requested my passport back for travelling, I should be aware that if I'm not an EEA national I would have to apply for a free of charge Famiky permit to prove that the EEA national is in the UK or is traveling to the UK.

Also said at the bottom that I should I not return the passport unless requested.

My Partner acquired PR november 2017 and is now living in Dubai for work. He won't be returning till end of this year. So I wonder if I need to travel, how do prove the above?

I requested directly from UKVI website.
I didn't know any other way.
