EEA Registration Certificate

Hi,
I have a question. I am an Italian citizen. I live in Manchester and i work for a company that is based in London. I am putting a request for EEA registration certificate to home office. One of my friend told me that because you live in Manchester and your company address is In London it may be a problem from the home office. Could you please tell me as long as i am genuinely working for a company in a legal way Should it matter where my work company is based and where i live? I work as a field sales agent. Please help
