Period of being outside of UK while waiting residence card

Hi everyone,
I am an non- EEA, married for a EEA- member. I plan to apply for a residence card. However, for a family reasons, we need to travel outside of UK very often, for short periods. Is there a limit of the period that I can be outside of UK within these 6 months, without that impacting the decision regarding my residence card?
