Hello all,

I have been living in the UK since 2009, when I came to do an University Course. I am Bulgarian, ie from the EEA. During Uni I did various part time jobs then after University went back home for 3 months and came back and started working full time ever since.
Now in the application, they require proof for comprehansive health insurance. I have several questions about that - I am assuming that this only applies to the Uni period of time, right? Because, since I am paying taxes, I don't see why I wouldn't be allowed to use the NHS, correct? Also I do remember being told I need to get this health insurance card before starting uni, and I did, however this was years ago, and I most deffiantely do not have that...
Anyway I have been paying taxes for almost the entire pariod i have been here - even during university, because I was workign aas well. So what do I do about this "proof of comprehansice health insurance"?

Do you know who you were insured with? I came to the UK for studies in college and stayed for 2 years, went back to my home country for 2 months and then came back. I had the EHIC-card as well, but I didn't keep it. Luckily my mum knows who we had the health insurance with, so I sent them an e-mail to see if they could help me out. I literally got an e-mail back today with proof that I was insured with them, and they are sending me the original documents. In other words, totally worth contacting whoever you were with, if you can remember, and see if they have anything in their records still.
