Hi
I'm an eu citizen living in the uk for 15 years.
Is it worth applying for PR document and then citizenship upon receipt of document now or should I wait until THeresa May's plans are final?
Thx

Have you been a qualified person exercising treaty rights for any continuous 5 year period??

Hi

Yes, I have been exercising it for 15 years - working continuously with the exception of 3 months in 2012.

I came to the country in 2002.

I'm reading May's latest proposal and I'm thinking it's best not to wait.. but not sure.

Thx

EEA Route (costs £65 versus £2297 by post for ILR).

You know that you don't require any documents to prove that you have attained PR? You'll have to apply again once the UK leaves the EU. Prices will remain the same though so you'll have to ask yourself whether or not you want to apply twice to show evidence that you have acquired PR.

Thanks

I plan to apply for citizenship as soon as the PR card arrives.

Even if the card arrives in 6 months time, I estimate that by early 2018 I can apply for citizenship rather than wait until 2019.

does that make sense?

thanks

Queries re my EEA route PR application

Hi there,

I'm applying for my PR card and I have some questions below - guidance much appreciated.

Thanks

- Do I have to list my absences from the UK which I took as paid annual leave while I was working
(I read somewhere that the home office is not interested in that)

- Over the course of my 15 years in the UK I have some periods of one to two months between work, where I was job searching for my next job - I did not buy private health care during those periods and I was actively looking for work.

Just to clarify, I have worked continuously for the same one company for 7 years from 2004 to 2011.
I arrived in 2002.

I'm concerned that my one or two months between jobs might deem me to be a self sufficient without health insurance.

Many thanks,
