My Wife (Thai) has just obtained her UK Residents Card

1) Duration 5 years

2) Type of Permit : FAMILY MEMBER - EU RESIDENCE

3) EU RIGHT TO RESIDE on back of card

Just wondering if this card allows visa free travel to Schengen area ? It does NOT have "Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen" even though I am Irish living and working in UK......is it the same thing? Just wondering !! THANKS

It should, did you look on the bottom of the card for "residence card family member of Union citizen"?

Card exactly the same WITHOUT that line at the bottom strangely......Card issued in UK.....

Thanks for your reply. I am a bit worried now card is nto the full thing and we may need to get new card !!!

Just wondering if it maybe because I am Irish citzen (Outside Schengen) so the card doesnt have visa free travel in Schengen incorporated.....?
