Does anyone know if i must post original passports not copys of uk and irish wen applyin to renounce british citizenship

Yep originals are needed - the Home Office aren't big fans of copies!
If you don't want to send your Irish passport you can apply for an Irish passport card (Google it) - once you receive that you can send it instead.

Any tips you may provide as I am renouncing british citizenship to bring my non eea spouse to uk.
I am Irish/british living in Ireland for over a year now. My filipina wife just got here in Ireland with D visa last June.
We want to go through EEA family permit.

Can I ask how long it took you to renounce? Or are you still in the process of doing so?

We have same situation.It took my husband four months to renounce his british.I applied last feb 2017

i haven't renounced yet.
Are you able to apply for EEA Family permit now? and how was it?
