hi - sorry but i keep reading about biometrics letter received, then biometrics sent - what is that about?

i am planning on applying for RP on 5 years basis in October however will have to travel for work so by the time i receive this famous biometrics letter i will not be in the UK. i can get someone to send me the letter but what i am supposed to send back to the HO? Is that fingerprints? Can i do it from abroad?

also - do you know if i have to wait for the full 5 years to complete or can submit my application about a month earlier i.e now?

thank you all

You get the letter. You have to take the letter to the Post Office and enroll your biometrics, ie fingreprints and digital photo.

If not done within the 15 days, you might get another letter giving you 10 days. After that your application will be returned as invalid.

You have to wait the full 5 years. There is no '28 days early' concession for PR applications under the EU route.
