Permanent Residence vs Registration Certificate

Hi

I recently applied for a permanent residence and a few weeks ago I received a letter from the Home office saying that I had to provide more evidence to be granted a permanent residence document. I was given a registration certificate.
I have 2 questions
1. What is the registration certificate and how is it different from a permanent residence document?

2. and secondly they have said that because I am a student 'We need evidence of your parents being in the country for this period and we would need to see evidence of funds'. What documents can I send them to show this?

For EEA nationals:

Registration certificate will confirm your residence status in the UK (legal resident status)
Permanent Residence proves your right to be here indefinitely (Settled status)
