On residency card issued in uk, can you travel to Europe without need of visa with eu spouse?

Hi,
If you have been issued with EEA residency card as a non eu family member of eu citizen exerting her treaty rights, can you travel to Europe with your eu partner on that or you need to apply Schengen visa or any other visa?

If you are married to your partner and joining or accompanying her, you will be entitled to.

I'm non eu and my wife is eu citizen, she's student and I'm working full time. I have residency card issued in uk. Are we exempt from visa to travel to Europe for holidays or need to apply visa?
