Hi, I'm eu national. I have been in employment for 5 years. I went out of country for 6 months in which I got married and came back to uk and in 7th month I start looking for job and in 8th month got job and started working. I got my registration certificate when I applied after 4 and half year, when I came back again to uk.
Will I qualify for permanent residency or will be considered new resident after I came back to uk again?
Thank you

Hi. You need to provide evidence of exercising treaty rights for 5 yrs. It does not matter when you got your RC

Will those 7 months matter?
I have proof what I was doing, when I came back to uk again and when I start looking for job?
There's only 7 months gap in my 5 years long residency.
What you guys think pls?
Thank you

If the 7 months gap occurred before your 5 years of residence and treaty right, then you need to have an important reason for that absence, or it will have the effect of breaking the continuity of your residence.

I went to non eu country to get married and holidays for 2 months then 3 months stayed in my eu country my mum was ill and came back on start of 7th month but got job started on 8th month. But I only stayed out of U.K. For only 5 months as 1 month after I left my job I was still living in uk as I booked my flight tickets end of that month.

You may be fine, depending on the circumstances. On the face of it, 7 months absence is quite excessive.
