I am portuguese and my husband has a RC that is expiring next yearticle. He is working and his employer has asked for him to renew it. I'm an EEA currently working bit only a few hours a week not even 16. I believe he cannot apply for Permanent resident card because I m only in the UK for 6 years and 3 of them i spent unemployed taking care of my daughter. Is there any other visa or something he can try? Thank you

How many hours a week are you working? It looks to me as though you may both be working illegally!
If your daughter is in school, then a period of your working at least 10 hours a week while she is in school may enable you to obtain a derivative right of residence.
A better method would be for you to make yourself a qualified person, probably as a worker. If you will not be able to continue working, you can obtain "comprehensive sickness insurance" (CSI) for the whole family, and then become a "self-sufficient" person on the basis of your husband's earnings. However, he does have to earn too much for the family to be entitled to benefits.
If you become a 'qualified person', then your husband can apply for a new residence card nominally valid for up to 5 years. (It is expected to become invalid in 2021.)
