Private Medical Insurance from Norway to apply for Registration Certificate

Dear All,

I am an EU student from Norway and I just came to UK to study and would like to apply for registration certificate for me and my wife. I read that as as student, I need a private medical insurance, because I can only use the "European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)" if I do not intend to stay permanently in UK.

Can I use private medical insurance from Norway or must it be from UK?

If CSI in Norway covers UK illness or accident, then that will be fine.

Thanks.

Could you kindly point to the UK government website / link where I can confirm that a private CSI from another EU country is fine.

My concern is that they might think that since I intend to stay permanently in UK, how will it be possible for an insurance company from another EU country where I would not be living for the next 5 years be responsible?

I just want to make sure before I submit my application.
