Hi,

Query for my Friend.

My friend is a French Citizen living in UK since July 2012. Her husband is in Dependent Visa and living in UK since July 2012.

a) Can she alone apply for ILR now without her husband? this is due to financial constraints to apply for whole family.
b) Her husband is an Indian Citizen. Can he apply on a later date? Is there any dependency between these 2 applications?
c) Their son 17 year old is a French Citizen living in UK since July 2012, can he also apply for ILR separately on a later date?

It would be preferable for your friend to register and post the questions herself as there are several issues here and I suspect we're going to go back and forward until we have all the information.

However, if she is a French citizen I assume that she would be in the UK under the EEA Regulations, not the UK Immigration Rules.
In which case she would be applying for PR and not the more restrictive and costly ILR.

What has she been doing since 2012? Working? Or studying or self-sufficient with Comprehensive Sickeness Insurance (CSI)

Does her husband have a visa or an EEA Residence Card?

Until you are able to clarify all of the above it will be impossible for anyone to advise.
