Hi I have had a EEA Family permit for 5 years now it has expaired I was a able to get a UK resident card
How ever when I went to Portgal on Holiday they told me it was no good to enter and asked my Husband for our wedding Cert and gave us a very hard time before they let us in

Is it possable to to get a new Family permit as there was no problem when we traved with that My husband is Irish by the way

You have 2 choices, either apply for EEA Residence card again or EEA PR, if your husband worked for 5 years in UK, else you would keep facing these issues, for both the options you need to show ur husband working

My husband has been retired for the last 4 years ,he lived and worked in the UK for over 45 years would appyling for a UK passport be an Opion for me
