Include self-addressed envelope?

Hi all,

Just about to put in for my EEA PR + non-EEA wife's PR. I meet all of the qualifications and it should be a fairly straightforward application as I have 5 continues years of payslips, P60s and a letter from my employer.

Just a simple question - no where on the (online) form do they say to include a self-addressed envelope for sending back passports/documents. In other Home Office forms I've sent they've sometimes had that option, saying if not they'd send them back Royal Mail Second Class. Does anyone know if I include a self-addressed next day delivery envelope would they use it? Or do they automatically use DX or some other service?

I just hate the thought of sending out sensitive documents into the ether without knowing they'll be sent back safely. Thanks in advance.

its advisable to cover youre self, send a prepaid envelop, i did for my application also, still waiting for the return of the documents. also when i requested my passport returned they send me with tracking and signed postage!

Thanks! I'll include one with a cover letter requesting they use it. If not, I'll just have to trust in the reliability of Royal Mail's standard service.

When I applied for my EEA FM RC I sent a prepaid envelope in the application to get my passport returned (i detailed the request in the cover letter) and still they ignored this and sent the documents via normal mail. But you don't lose anything by trying.

Good luck!
