Can EU Permanent Residency (PR) be revoked or cancelled?

Dear all,

I have a query regarding PR (Permanent Residency)

Details:

- Someone who is an EU national

- Has lived legally in the UK for about 7+ years

- During all the time living in the UK, has been working legally

- Has never applied for a Resident Card or Permanent Resident certificate

- I understand such a person would automatically acquire Permanent Resident status as they would have lived in the UK for more than 5 years whilst being a worker

Questions:

1 - If this person was to get a job outside of the EU, therefore leave the UK (not forever; maybe a few years, but always with the intention of coming back), would they loose their PR status?

2 - Once someone has acquired PR status, are there any rules they have to adhere to in order to keep their PR status, for example to remain in the UK for a number of days per year etc. ? (I have tried looking for any such rules or guidance but can't seem to find anything)

Thanks

Hi,
According to my knowledge , you will lose your PR if you stay outside UK for 2 years ..
