Permanat Recidence Card

Hi All
I just wanted to ask, my wife is EU national, she is living here in UK Since 2012, she is eligible to apply for Permanent Resident card, in application there is an option for extended family member, Can I apply with her for Permanent resident card as well? we are married since 4 years and I have EEA2 since more than 4 years?
Please reply me, I will be really thankful to you. thanks

You are her direct family member not extended.

No, you cant apply with her. You need to hit your own 5 years to qualify.

May I ask isn’t it 5 years from the date of marriage?

Not just marriage, everything (marriage, EU national exercising treaty right and them been in the UK) should hit 5 year.

If that’s the case then the applicant doesn’t qualify.
It also confirms that my application is valid as we got married on 12th october 2012 and wife started her job on 26th October 2012 and competed her 5 years of excercisng treaty rights and we both applied together on 1st of Nov 2017

Was your marriage in the UK or if outside of the UK, after your marriage have you been in the UK for 5 years? if yes then you fine to apply based on the information you mentioned.

1. Yes we got married in UK.
2. Yes I have completed 5 years of marriage in UK
3. Never left uk even for a month in past 5 years
