EEA 2 RC holder travel while the divorce finalises

Hi All,
I have EEA2 RC valid until April 2018 and i am currently awaiting to hear from the court which is about to finalize our divorce probably by XMAS or early January.
My question is due to family needs i would like to travel to Pakistan during the XMAS time off, i was wondering if any body has got any relevant experience or would advice to not go due to above. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
