EEA 4 - Application Form Absences - Section 5.3 and 5.4

Hi
per the application guidelines it states that absences of over 6 months should be mentioned only however in the section 5.3 it gives an example of whole days for the month of Jan. approx 29 days.
Can someone please confirm if we are to include all absences outside of UK that less than 6 months? i.e holidays etc?
