Date of arrival in the UK

Hi guys,
I read on gov.uk that as a EU citizen I can apply for a settled status once I reach the 5-year threshold.
My question is: how do I know the exact date of my arrival? Is there an official proof they require?
I'm getting a bit concerned over my rights whilst I'll be under the temporary settled status and I'm full of doubts now

The HO require proof that you have been exercising your Treaty rights during the 5 year qualifying period.
