I’m an Irish citizen now working in Middle East with my husband. My husband is a visa required national. I’ve not been to UK recently after I left Belfast as a kid. Now I want to bring my husband with me to UK. We both are professionals with reasonable job opportunities. My husband is already getting few interview calls.
Is it possible to apply for EEA Family permit to accompany Spouse without me being in UK? Do I have to there in beforehand to be a qualifying member? I just want to bring him with me so we can find jobs without a delay.

You can, attach a cover letter where you say that you intend to find a job in the UK and you want your spouse with you.

We are just confused with the amount of information we need to provide. I’m aware under the EU directive, UK shouldn’t be asking this many info. But I don’t want to take our chance. We are planning to move in next 03 months. I can provide bank statements, proof of marriage (photos, tenancy agreement in middle east, I was under his sponsorship in middle east). We have few relatives in UK. Should we give one of their address? Should we say we intend to stay indefinitely. We prefer to settle in Ireland but Spouse Visa takes long time. I’m not intending to use Surinder Singh method. I can show the financial requirement if I work in UK for few months. We just want to move out of middle east.
