Return of documents

Hi Guys,
I have applied for EEA Permanent residence card on 23rd of April 2018 and I have just received an email today with my case id which is just acknowledgment basically.
So if I want to ask for a return of passport is that possible as I have valid eea2 residence card until November 2019.
And if I am eligible for a return of passport service then how can I apply without withdrawing my application
Please note: I am a non-EEA Citizen and my nationality is Pakistani.
