Hi,
I'm an EU citizen married with a British citizen, together we have a child. I have 4 years in UK, working full time. I just received a Registration Certificate, after I applied for a Permanent Residence.
I'm confused. On Gov.uk it says that I can apply for citizenship after 3 years if I'm married with a British citizen, but I need a PC that I can get it only after 5 years?!?
Can someone please help me with this? Am I missing something? Thank you

Correct. All applicants for BC are required to hold ILR. How have you qualified for PR in 4 years Is this a DCPR or a Residence Card?

5 years of UK residence is required before qualifying for PR, after which you will be able to apply immediately for British citizenship. This is assuming you meet all the standard requirements including B1 English + the Life in the UK test and permitted absences in the 3 year qualifying period.
