Non EEA nationality 5 years time Permanent Resident

Hi...I being leaving in the UK more than 8 years....My wife is from the EEA.... my resident permit as a EEA family member experied next year in March but this year in August we'll be 5 years married already.... and leaving together for more than 7 years.....The question is can I apply for my Permanent Resident this year in August when we are gonna be five years married or do I have to wait till March when my permit resident experied....

5 years from date of marriage if you got married within the UK.

Brilliant thanks for your help I got married in London in August.....that means I don't have to wait till next year.....thanks lot...
