Health insurance

When applying for Permanent residence what type of health insurance must I show? Current, future or past? And for whom? All of the family or just the adults?
Past and current depending on your qualifying status (student, worker, self sufficient etc as your post doesn't state this important info).
For all family dependent on the EEA/EU RC, i.e. not only the EU citizen.
