Query - comprehensive insurance

Hello all,

My wife is applying for a Residency Permit as a Polish national.

She is circa 8 years resident in UK, 3 yrs studying then 5 + yrs working.

She can show a qualifying period of 5 yrs working, but the form is asking for proof of insurance for all periods of study - yet she's not applying on the basis of a qualifying period covering a period of study, but rather the subsequent 5 years whilst working. There's an example case study in the guidance, which is an almost parallel scenario to hers, and "suggests" providing evidence of the insurance in such an instance.

How to tackle this? Thoughts appreciated as it feels slightly confusing.

Hope I've explained it clearly.

Ben

If the whole of the 5 year qualifying period is based on employment then she does not need to provide health insurance details for the earlier student period. Since she was a student before being employed then she does not even need to provide any evidence of the studying at all (despite what the form might say).

I'd suggest you write a sentence in the "Additional Information" section highlighting on what basis and time period she is using as the qualifying period.
