Hi all

I'm a British Citizen and my mother is a Portuguese Citizen, but who's lived in the UAE for the past 5 years. She has moved in with us and plans to live with us for the next couple of years to help us look after the kids. I'm trying to get her a bank account and also registered with the GP. But this is proving problematic. Both need proof of residence, but since she is living my my house which I own, she doesn't have a 'tenancy agreement from a 'landlord'' as proof of address. Neither does she have any other proof of address in the UK as she's never lived here before. How may she overcome this issue?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
You can put her name on any of your bills(electric,Gas/water) and request a copy of bill (you can change it later just on your name if you wish ),this should be a enough evidence in my opinion

I’m not a solicitor, it’s my personal advice
