biometric information for PR - ?

Hi
Do I understand correctly that, when applying for PR, we do not need to submit any biometric information for non-EU dependants with application?
Instead, it seems HO will send us biometric letter, after they get our application, and with that letter we will have to then go and do biometircs for non-EU part of the family.
Am I correct?
